I’m Jakub Bukowski

I’m a Senior UX/UI and Product Designer working on complex digital products across web and mobile. I’m interested in the decisions that connect a product’s structure with the details of using it: what appears first, what belongs together, what needs explanation and what happens next.

My work includes scientific logistics, healthcare, home energy and enterprise product concepts. These domains ask different questions, but each requires a clear relationship between information, tasks and the interface that presents them.

A visual background, applied to product design

My background in graphic and visual design gives me a strong foundation in typography, composition and visual hierarchy. In product work, I use those skills alongside flow design, information architecture and interaction detail.

That means paying attention to both the wider structure and the individual screen. A workflow needs to make sense, and its forms, tables, labels and states need to support it. I move between those scales rather than treating visual design as a final layer added after the product decisions are made.

How I work

I start by understanding the task, the existing rules and the scope of change. In an established product, that includes identifying what is inherited and where a redesign has room to act. In a proof of concept, it includes making the proposed behavior concrete enough to review.

I use layouts, flows and prototypes to discuss decisions with product managers, developers and client teams. Reviews help clarify requirements and implementation constraints. UI kits and reusable patterns support consistency across the resulting designs, while handoff and implementation review keep the work connected to delivery.

I prefer clear explanations of trade-offs. A compact interface, for example, may expose more information while making some labels less explicit. That balance deserves attention rather than a blanket claim that less content is always better.

What I’m looking for

I’m open to Senior Product Designer and Senior UX/UI Designer roles, as well as B2B collaborations. I’m looking for work where I can contribute to product structure, interaction and visual design, and collaborate closely with the people responsible for building and developing the product.

Selected capabilities

  • Organizing complex workflows and role-based interfaces
  • Designing mobile dashboards, setup and information hierarchies
  • Working with tables, filters and time-based visualizations
  • Developing UI kits and reusable interface patterns
  • Preparing design handoff and reviewing implementations

Let’s discuss your product

If these capabilities match what your team needs, I’d be glad to hear about the role or project.
